| Sheila showed her dogs till 1986. After that
she moved to the NWT, got married and raised children. She did however breed a
couple of litters in the early 90's; but showing only once at a local Whitehorse
show. 2005 ~ it was time to get back into the saddle again and buy a show dog.... But why Afghans after a long history with Elkhounds? When Sheila was nine or ten she found an Afghan pup in the school yard. She brought the dog home and fell in love with him, however as the dog was a bit of a houdini and would somehow climb into the girls pen he was not allowed to continue living there. It was a short love relationship which lasted two to three weeks; but left a lasting memory on Sheila's heart and she was determined that one day she would have another. The search was on .... Canada, the States and then Germany and Scent-of-Fame Afghan Hounds where we found Dean. The rest of the story can be found on the pages of this site. | ||||
